Research Interests:
Matt started working towards his PhD in summer, 2002, at Trout Lake Station in northern Wisconsin. Matt is participating in a biocomplexity project to study the possibly surprising responses of ecosystems to disturbances. His particular project addresses how habitat modification in lakes affects benthic invertebrate communities through both top-down (predation) and bottom-up (resources) processes.
