About Zoology Information Technology

Information Technology is a relatively new unit within the Department of Zoology.  We provide computer and network related support to Zoology Faculty and Staff, and the Instructional and Administrative environments.  Ray Lord is the IT Manager.  There is 1 student hourly that assists with info tech support.

• Tom Hennen - Information Technology Student Hourly - Expertise in PC's and Networking.

Recent News

The First Department of Zoology Server Becomes Operational

The First UW Zoology Department Server became operational in late 1999.  The Windows NT server allows departmental computers to connect to it for securely storing documents and sharing network resources.  Future server services will include database applications and other capabilities as the network system grows.

Ongoing work continues to give the Zoology Web Site a new look and feel.  A new menu allows visitors to easily navigate through the site.  New web site categories are being added and web site content information and links are continually being updated.  As during any reconstruction effort, some web site links may not be fully operational.
